Some of the badges we issue, like Hikes Away, Nights Away and Time on Water can only be awarded for activities undertaken with other Scouts, others can be done at home or with others, and some badges can only really be done in young people's own time.

This page aims to show members of each section the badges they can work towards. In every case, when they think they have met the criteria, a parent or carer should provide a leader with evidence, so that we can validate it and award the badge.

You don't have to do all the badges, they are just a combination of little things you can do in any spare time if you want, or ways to get badges for things you do anyway. Please either bring in evidence, or email us at uppermillscouts@gmail.com uppermillcubs@gmail.com or uppermillbeavers@gmail.com(please put the subject as: child's name - badge).

Staged Badges:- these badges run across all sections of Scouting up to the age of 18. The two most often earned outside meetings are Musician and Swimmer. If your child has met the criteria please print out the requirements for the relevant level and ask their teacher to sign it.  You can find checksheets on the Staged Badges page.
