There are 14 Staged Activity Badges, and the requirements for them all can be found here. There are outline details below.


​i am in the process of creating check sheets for some of the Staged Activity Badges, you can print these off to show us when your child has earned a badge.
Musician
Sailing
Snowsports
Swimmer
These staged requirements run across all 4 sections of Scouting - Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers and are designed to allow young people to show progression working at their own pace.
Air Activities
6 stages
Can be completed partly at Scouts but will also need to be worked on at home.
Community Impact
4 stages
Can be completed mostly through Scouts, but will also need some work at home.
Digital Citizen
4 stages
Activities can be done at home or at Scouts.
Digital Maker
5 stages
This badge can be tackled at home.
Emergency Aid
5 stages
Can be completed partly through Scouts, or another recognised First Aid provider, such as the Red Cross or St. John's Ambulance
Hikes Away
8 staged badges
1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 35 50
These hikes are to be done with Scouts. The time requirements vary by section (Beavers at least 2 hours, Cubs at least 3 hours, Scouts at least 4 hours)
Musician
5 stages
This is most likely to be completed outside Scouting.
Nautical Skills
6 stages
Can be completed partly through Scouts, or through another recognised provider of training.
Navigator
5 stages
Activities to be completed with Scouts, or otherwise appropriate training provider, such as DoE
Nights Away
16 staged badges
1 - 200
These awards are for nights away participating in recognised Scouting activities.
Paddle Sports
4 stages
Some stages may be completed with Scouts, but this can also be gained through achieving the BCU Paddle Power awards.
Sailing
4 stages
This is most likely to be achieved through participation in the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme
Swimmer
5 stages
Can be completed through swimming lessons.
Time on Water
8 staged badges
1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 35, 50
This is measured in the number of activity sessions participated in, of varying length depending upon the section. (Beavers about 1 hour, Cubs 1 - 2, Scouts 2 - 3).  This is earned through Scouting activities.
